Improving Lives, One Smile at a Time
I am honored and humbled by the trust and confidence my patients have in me. I take that responsibility very seriously, and strive to exceed each person’s expectations with every interaction. Genuine smiles and thanks at the end of a procedure let me know I’m achieving that goal.
Being a dentist allows me to change lives. When I transition a person out of dental pain, I’m helping them return to enjoying life, and when I restore the ability to comfortably and properly chew, that person is more comfortable and healthier. Making each patient’s smile even more beautiful, allows them to feel better about themselves and happier with their appearance.
I love caring for a diverse group of people from all ages and walks of life. I am blessed to have the best patients and I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling and rewarding career.
Education and Continuing Education
My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was awarded by Howard University College of Dentistry in 1987. Subsequently, I completed a hospital residency at Meharry Hubbard Medical College in 1988. By actively pursuing continuing education through meetings, seminars, and lectures, I consistently ensure that I am current on all aspects of dental care.
Personal Life
I grew up in Walterboro and now live in Charleston, South Carolina. While growing up I enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time with my brothers and sisters. Upon graduating dental school and completing my residency, I married my wife who is the ultimate top mom – she currently works in telehealth leading and implementing innovative changes in public health throughout South Carolina. I also have two kids; my son recently graduated with a degree in Homeland Security & Emergency Management, and my daughter recently graduated with degrees in Evolutionary Anthropology, Global Health, and Biomedical Innovation and Development.
Some of my favorite ways to spend time include exploring art galleries, gardening, fishing, listening to music, and pursuing photography. I am always striving to improve myself spiritually, and am an active member in my church.
